In March 2009 Rainbow Divers are planning to hold the 1st ever PADI IDC at Sangalaki Dive Lodge, Borneo. This will be an exclusive program for a maximum of 15 candidates over 15 days by PADI Course Directors Jeremy Stein & Grant Martin.
Sangalaki offers truly world-class diving from a tiny Tropical Rainforest Island surrounded by beautiful sandy beaches. Mantas play every day, as do the Turtles; 20-30 lay their eggs on the Island each night! The gorgeous hard & soft corals are home to most of the world’s most colourful marine life! (check out www.sangalaki.net)
The IDC will be run over 13 days, including the EFRI course, followed by a 2 day IE.
Accommodation is in twin share chalets on the beach. The main Dive Lodge, the beach and the Ocean will be the classrooms for the program! The Candidates & Instructors will have the Island exclusively!
The cost of this unique experience is US$10,000. This includes transfers from Berau to the Island, 15 nights full board, all PADI & EFR fees, souvenir clothing, a day trip diving at Kakaban and it’s world famous Jellyfish Lake and a 2nd IDC & IE free, in Vietnam, in the unlikely event you fail part of the IE.
It is recommended that you obtain all the required Manuals & Materials before arriving, as independent study & knowledge reviews are essential before the IDC starts.
IDC Staff Candidates are also welcome at the same price. Existing IDCS & MIs can join this learning ‘extravaganza’ for $7,500.
Should you wish to arrive on the Island before, or stay after, a discounted rate of $200 per person per night, including meals & 3 dives, will be applied!
We have received several confirmed bookings already, so if interested, please email jeremy @ sangalaki.net for further details.
IDCs are also held at Rainbow Divers in Nha Trang, Vietnam every 8 weeks. For more details contact grant @ divevietnam.com
